Jocelyn Yong is a seasoned architect with a Master’s in Architecture from the University of New South Wales, Australia. A veteran with over a decade of architecture expertise, she recently completed the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) Punggol Campus Court — an award-winning sustainable campus with two buildings certified as Super Low Energy. Her vision extends beyond architecture; she aims to foster vibrant communities where students, staff and the public thrive in eco-friendly spaces.

Jocelyn’s portfolio features significant contributions to high-profile projects such as the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, Alexandra Hospital Healing Campus, Lions Home for Elders in Bishan, and the Rejuvenation Works at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Her passion for enhancing healthcare design was sparked by childhood visits to her late grandmother in an under-resourced old folks’ home. This experience led her to architecture, with her first major project, the Lions Home for Elders in Bishan (completed in 2015), marking the start of her journey in transforming healthcare facilities.

Innovative and resourceful, Jocelyn integrates advanced technologies and creative solutions to ensure her projects resonate with users. Her approach prioritises people, community, and the environment, addressing complex design challenges with meaningful impact. Reflecting on her journey, Jocelyn wishes she started earlier in architecture to provide her grandmother with a better home. This personal motivation drives her to inspire the architectural community, embracing the core value of giving back to society.
