Jacopo attended a Double Master’s Degree Programme in Architecture and Urban Planning at Politecnico di Milano and Tongji University in Shanghai. Since 2017 is member of the Register of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservation Architects of Milan, Italy.
Since his graduation, he has been collaborating with internationally renowned design firms across the globe, delivering researches and design proposals at different stages and scales. In his projects, Jacopo combines diverse fields – such as urban design, architecture, engineering, big data, natural science, sociology and economics – into an integrated vision to capture the multi-disciplinary nature of urban problems and deliver applications that empower citizens to create a better liveable urban experience.
In 2014 he worked as Architect for AllesWirdGut Architekten in Wien, where he took active part in international competitions.
In 2014 he joined David Chippelfield Architects, internationally recognized along the most eminent firms in contemporary architecture. During this collaboration he took part in the design of large cultural complexes, investigating their transitioned role from passive places to centres of culture for the urban community.
From 2017 to 2020, he collaborated with CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati as Senior Architect and Urban Designer. Drawing on Carlo Ratti’s research at the MIT Senseable City Lab, CRA is a design and innovation office that merges design with cutting-edge digital technologies. Between some of the projects he has developed with a role of responsibility:
- MIND Milano Innovation District, a 1-million sqm master plan to to re-imagine the former site of Milan World Expo 2015;
- MiSK City and Qiddiya City, part of the Saudi Vision 2030 plan to lay the foundations of a sustainable post oil society.
In 2020 Jacopo became Partner of Blankarch, an architecture firm based in Milan focusing on high-end interior design projects. Among the clients – Giorgio Armani Spa, LVMH, Kering S.A.
Since 2020, he has acquired the role of Business Strategy & Innovation Manager in Pininfarina, accompanying clients from the business development process – negotiate and outline concept feasibility, framework legality and expectation management – till the design development phases. Between some of the projects he has developed with a role of responsibility:
- Sino Italian International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, a 4 km2 masterpan in Jiaxing awarded with the first prize in an international competition;
- Italvolt, Italy’s first Gigafactory.
In 2022 he became Head of Architecture of Pininfarina Shanghai with the responsibility to forge new relations for Pininfarina in APAC region while supporting existing projects underway in the area.
